2021-22 PTO Board

President: Kimberly Snipes Vice Presidents: Patrice McFadden and Daniel Henriquez Secretary: Cissy Graham Treasurer: Charlie Stalker Volunteer Coordinators: Stine Poole and Heather Danley

Welcome to the Fox Cub community!

I am Kimberly Snipes, your PTO President. I have served on the PTO Board and Student Improvement Council for two years. My son, Noah, is a 2nd grader and my daughter, Isabella, is starting Kindergarten. My husband, Dominique, and I have another son, Isaiah, who is 22 months old. I grew up in Kingstree, SC. and have been living in Irmo since 2006.

The PTO is here to serve you. Please share your suggestions for events, fundraisers, teacher appreciation opportunities and any other ideas you may have. You can send your ideas to me at Ptodfes@gmail.com.

Save the date for the annual Fall Festival, which will be held Friday, October 22nd! We are excited to gather the students again after missing out on the opportunity to socialize in 2020. Please be on the lookout for other events.

For our community to be strong, everyone’s participation is essential. Many parents feel they cannot participate in the PTO because they cannot be available during the day because of work - please don’t let that discourage you. Whether you have 30 minutes or a few hours, your time, your ideas, your talents and your voice are truly needed and appreciated. There are endless possibilities for family members to contribute and we can match any time constraints and abilities to needed tasks. Please consider volunteering today!

Our PTO Executive Board Meets monthly and we are always working as a team to figure out how we can best help DFES.  We work directly with Mr. Scott, Dr. Sommerall, Mrs. Newman and teacher representatives. Our meetings are held four times a year and anyone can attend.

Please contact me anytime about PTO questions that you may have. PTODFES@gmail.com or kimberlypsnipes@gmail.com. Please follow us on Facebook at Dutch Fork Elementary PTO. That will be a source of PTO information as the year continues.

I wish you all a fulfilling and productive year!

Sincerely,

Kimberly Snipes
